American Express just added the ability to earn 3x membership rewards points at Amazon.com through the end of the year.
It was available on multiple of our Blue cash American Express cards that earn membership rewards.

How to Get $20 Off Prime Memberships at Amazon
Amazon will be running a promotion tomorrow (Friday Nov. 18) for $20 off Prime memberships. Normally $99, Prime memberships will be $79 for one day only. The promotion will be live tomorrow.
How to Get 3X Membership Rewards at Amazon
- Log into your American Express account online and look for the Amazon.com offer under your Amex Offers and Benefits.
- Add the offer to your card.
- Use your registered card at Amazon.com or on the Amazon mobile app by December 31, 2016.
- Receive 2 points per dollar (in addition to your normal points earned) from American Express within 90 days.

- Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account.
- Enrollment is limited. Enrollment opens on 11/17/2016 and continues until 12/31/2016.

Sorry, I just saw your comment this morning. Were you able to get the prime membership yesterday? It was on sale all day, so as long as you checked out, you should have gotten the reduced price. If not, you may want to chat with Amazon and let them know you had problems checking out. I’ve found that sometimes they are helpful and will make an adjustment if they could see it was in your cart.
