I missed out on the big 100,000 point American Express Platinum bonus last spring since it was only live for less than a day.
I’m excited we have another opportunity to pick up 100,000 points, this time for American Express Business Platinum card. The sign up bonus just increased to 100,000 points.

It’s our Free Money Friday.
Update: The current bonus is 75,000 points. However, you may be able to get 100,000 with these directions from Doctor of Credit.

More on American Express
Earning Points. You earn 1 point per dollar on each purchase, 1.5 points per dollar on purchases of $5,000 or more and 2 points for each dollar of eligible purchases made when you book on the American Express Travel website.
Redeeming Points. See the Best Way to Maximize American Express Points to get the most out of your points.
Airline Credits. The card comes with a $200 airline credit per calendar year for incidentals; you could use the $200 credits both in 2016 and 2017 to offset the steep annual fee. Incidentals exclude tickets, gift cards and mileage point purchases in the terms. You must select an airline for this benefit.
50% Airline Bonus. You’ll also get a 50% airline bonus (5 extra points for every 10 points you redeem) on your selected airline using Amex travel.
More Benefits. The card also includes lounge access, access to the fine hotels and resorts program, Boingo wi-fi, and a global entry or TSA precheck statement credit.
Do the Math
Redeeming the 115,000 points (100,000 bonus points plus 15,000 points on spending) for 1:1 conversion on points would yield $1,150 in gift cards. Less the annual fee of $450, we stand to make $700 right away. Add in $400 in airline statement credits, and this sign up bonus could be worth $1,100 or more. If you opt for transfers to airlines, the points could be worth much more!
Purchase Requirements
While there are typically many Ways to Meet Spending Requirements for Sign Up Bonuses, American Express made it clear they will NOT honor points for buying cash equivalents, including gift cards and manufactured spending on the Platinum card.
