Free Month of Amazon Prime

Posted by Madison on August 29, 2008

Have you ever shopped at Amazon and wished you could get your item right away? Usually the price of shipping kills the deal and by the time you wait for it, you might not need it anymore.

That’s where Amazon Prime comes in. Free 2 day shipping. Although unless you buy a lot from Amazon, it might not be worth the $79 annual fee.

Just in time for free money Friday, Amazon is offering a free month of Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime Details

Here’s the details of Amazon Prime from their terms and conditions page:

  1. Unlimited FREE Two-Day Shipping on millions of Items
  2. Overnight Shipping upgrades for only $3.99 per item
  3. Shopping with no minimum order size
  4. Ability to share benefits with up to 4 household members
  5. 1 Month Free Trial

Amazon Prime Free Trial

We gave the free trial a shot. Here were the features that I loved:

I could buy something less than $25 and not have to worry about finding filler items to get the free shipping.

I could cancel the free trial online. It’s so much easier than calling, but be sure to mark it on your calendar when your 30 days expires, or else they will automatically renew your subscription.

I waited to use my free trial until I could coordinate it with a promotion that I wanted. I used it with another sale (like the back to school or off to college sales), so I could get the items fast!
