Each quarter I put together a list of the 5% cash back on rotating categories. To help you plan big purchases and even buy gift cards when they earn the most cash back, it’s important to look at the cash back categories for the entire year.
If you have flexibility with the timing of your purchases and you know the purchase category will be on the list for a future quarter, you might want to hold off on your purchases until you can get 5% cash back.
Here is the Chase Freedom cash back calendar for 2016.

Other calendars. You can use the 2016 Citi Dividend Rewards Calendar and the 2016 Discover It Rewards Calendar to help you plan out your purchases this year. In addition, I’ll still remind you each quarter to switch out your cards and we’ll review all of the cards at once.
