    This is a great growler and fun idea with the chalkboard front label, HOWEVER, folks should know that the jug we received says "TALK WITH CHALK" above the board....not "NOTE" as shown in the photo. It's a little hokey, but not a huge deal...but felt that people should know. Seller needs to update the photo.

    These are so basic, I regret getting this despite my husbands desire to take a growler to a brewery that fills growlers. Looking at these bottles, I realize I should have sought some product that utilizes a bottle like this and just reused it because thats what this growler bottle looks like. It looks like I could have bought a large bottle of syrup and just reused the bottle. I should have found the largest size of Mrs Butterworth Pancake syrup and baked with it and sent him to the brewery with the cleaned empty bottle.

    The chalkboard works (i.e. holds chalk) and is easily cleaned. The growler itself holds beer and has a nice wax-lined cap that kept beer fresh for the better part of a week. The hand can fit two of my fingers, but that's a standard size. Be careful with colorful chalk - if you don't blot it you may end up covering your hands and everything else.

    Quality growler. I was debating on either buying this one or an insulated growler (hydroflask) So far this growler's been good. I like that I can write on it, and that it looks good when placed on the table for a dinner party. It keeps my beer carbonated for about a day, which I like especially if I have friends over to help me drink it all. But overall I wish I spent the extra money and bought the Hydroflask only because they seem less easy to break and that it doesn't sweat.

    This was a birthday gift for my craft brew loving husband. We are lucky enough to live in craft brew centric Maryland, where there are more breweries than I can count within 30 minutes.

    I love that I can write on the growler with chalk -- when we finish one type of beer, I simply erase the "board" and write the name of the new brew. The condensation doesn't bother the chalk -- you can read what you've written easily.

    Highly recommended, easy to clean, serves it's purpose.
