My newborn is just 2 weeks old, about 8.5 pounds, and absolutely fights having his arms restricted. Most swaddles just made him angry, but this one lets his arms be completely free, which he seems to love. It fits him really well right now, not too snug but also not so loose that I worry.
One thing I've learned is to make sure he's wearing pajamas underneath that have the little hand covers, or even just baby mittens. Since his arms are out, he can definitely still get his hands to his face, and those newborn nails are surprisingly sharp! This sleep sack combined with covered hands has been our best bet for calmer nights so far. If your baby also despises being pinned down, this style is definitely worth a try.
