Our Company History
In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at ''prices even a pauper could afford.''
Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy—and our customers’ expectations—of beauty, quality, and value.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2018Gosh, this really surprised me. I had used a 6 x 8 book for 30+ years, then got a small book locally but decided the cream pages were hard to see when I used a pencil and way too thin to erase addresses when someone moved. Friends and family move and well, pencil works better for me. Then just on a hunch after reading the reviews on this one I ordered it. I was thinking it look more like one for a young girl? It's not, it's really nice for anyone. It's slightly bigger than you expect too. Wow much better than it looks in the photos. It does lay flat, there is only a few to a page so each line is slightly larger spacing so easier to write in. Allows plenty of room for phone numbers with area codes; faxes I'll use for birthdays and anniversaries. The print is clean and the paper a heavier stock. No blank pages though, I usually use those but that's fine. I do recommend this for an inexpensive, nicer than the photos, phone book. Thanks, Peter Pauper Press!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2018Finally an address book that fits my style and needs. Looks just like the picture. Beautiful raised floral pattern. I like the feeling of its texture. The elastic closure helps keep pages from getting ruined by keeping book closed. Spacing is good. Plenty of room to write in info. No calendar, no pages to write notes, just phone numbers and addresses (which is why I bought this one). Size is perfect. Fits well in small and large purses. Side tabs are not individual letters. They are doubled up (meaning one tab is A-B, C-D, and so on). Side tabs makes it easy finding a name.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2019I loved every thing about this Phone organizer except the SIZE. I was expecting this little book to be the size of my last book roughly 8"x 8" but when I opened it up, I was a little surprised, the book was the size of a 4"x6" photo. It is very pretty and I thought I might carry it in my purse. Next time, I will read the description a little more carefully, I think it will take some time to get use to.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2020This is a nice sized address book with plenty of pages for all my contacts! It's very attractive, and the spiral pages make it easy to flip through. I'm very happy with this purchase, and recommend it those looking for a small book to keep track of addresses/phone numbers.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2024I knew I was ordering a small address book but when it arrived, I tried entering names/addresses but my senior handwriting struggled to fit info between the lines. It is a very lovely embossed hardcover though. Will be ordering something larger now.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2018I absolutely love this little address book. It is the perfect size to keep in my work bag or even my purse. It has plenty of space for all the addresses and phone numbers I need on a daily basis. My kiddos have tons of appointments and being able to pull out my book and instantly have Doctors names, numbers and locations is a great help. I ended up purchasing one for my mother as well as myself.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2017Purchased for my mother after she lost her previous address book, she was quite specific about the size she wanted. Her last book had seen heavy use so it was a big deal to her when it was lost. I felt that I needed to get her one with a pleasing aesthetic to it. Imagine how tickled I was when it turned out that I choose the exact same design as her previous book without knowing what it looked like. The little stash pocket for slips of paper in the back is a nice addition that she didn't remember her old book having.
