I am looking for a “saying” that says more or less: the 20′s are for learning, the 30′s for earning, the 40′s for…. and so on until the 60′s or more. I am Swiss and living in Switzerland. I used to hear it from my husband who died 8 years ago. I shall go into retirement in three months and I want to used that say for a special purpose. can you help me? As long as you have a goal that is greater than just ‘a pile of money’ you should do fine.

Great post rocketc. I’m hoping not to leave a financial legacy to anyone other than charities, but I do plan to spend my retirement travelling if I can. Sure, it benefits me more than anyone else, but them’s the breaks.
