I am looking for a "saying" that says more or less: the 20's are for learning, the 30's for earning, the 40's for.... and so on until the 60's or more. I am Swiss and living in Switzerland. I used to hear it from my husband who died 8 years ago. I shall go into retirement in three months and I want to used that say for a special purpose. can you help me? Thank you and best regards. elisabeth

As long as you have a goal that is greater than just 'a pile of money' you should do fine.

Be sure to check out Wisconsin in your travels.

Great post rocketc. I'm hoping not to leave a financial legacy to anyone other than charities, but I do plan to spend my retirement travelling if I can. Sure, it benefits me more than anyone else, but them's the breaks.
