		<description>Personally, I&#039;m a huge fan of paved roads. And working traffic lights. And, should I ever need it, I&#039;m pretty sure I&#039;ll be grateful for 911 service -- police or otherwise.

Then there&#039;s national parks (if you&#039;re a senior or disabled, you get in free, and even if you pay something, you can bet that doesn&#039;t cover the extensive costs of a national forest). Museums and plays that are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Oh, and when I was bringing in only $800 a month and my then-fiance-now-husband was working for $10 an hour and wasn&#039;t yet covered by insurance, we were quite grateful for programs that allowed the hospital to write off the $1200 bill for a single night&#039;s stay in a hospital.</description>
