@ Chris: The terms say purchase one &quot;security.&quot; It doesn&#039;t specify a stock or mutual fund, so I would assume they would both work. You might want to give ShareBuilder a call to verify; they were very helpful when I called.

		<description>I clicked on your E*Trade link below the story and noticed the promotion expired 12/31/07.  A similar promotion is going on again currently, through February 25, and you do not need to have an AMEX this time.  They had the same promotion in December 2008.  I have taken advantage of both now, so apparently as long as it is new money it does not matter if you have taken advantage of the promotion before.</description>
