The only thing about the "cash back" is Discover Card charges interest from the moment you swipe the card. There is no longer the "float" or "grace" period to pay your balance off at the end of the month without interest charges. So are you really getting cash back? I don't think so.

We just got the Discover card to take advantage of the $100 cash back bonus. One thing I did not like was that when I activated our cards, the customer service rep made it nearly impossible for me to get off the phone without agreeing to sign up for the Payment Protection plan. You can cancel the plan within 30 days at no charge but it's a hassle. So, just be aware of that. I've charged the minimum of $500 required to get the $100 so I'm waiting to see when that gets processed.
