Carnivals are in Town!
This week a reader asked, “What is a carnival?” It’s a showcase of all the best articles for the week (or month) from blogs about a certain topic. Different sites take turns hosting and each of the participating sites and others link back. It gives readers a great place to read about all the new articles on a certain topic, and it gives writers a chance to showcase their best posts to a larger audience.
With that, here’s the carnivals that My Dollar Plan participated in and my favorite articles at each:
- Featuring When Does the 0% Credit Card Really Expire? It won an editor’s choice…. hooray!
- Money Liberty addresses the Psychology of 0% Interest Rates and his personal experience with Citi.
- MMND presents Debt Reductions Tips From a Debt Free Mommy.
- I answered the question - Roth 401k: What is it?
- Blueprint for Financial Prosperity lists credit cards with 0% on purchases. We know I love 0%!
- In Ask the readers: What is Your Tipping Policy? Million Dollar Journey and his readers share who they tip and how much.
Carnival of Financial Goals - the first ever!
- My post about my 2008 Financial Resolution was included. It maps out our net worth plans for the next nine years.
- Being Frugal is going to read 12 books in 2008. I can’t wait to read each review, because unfortunately, book reading just doesn’t make my priority list.
- Paid Twice’s 2008 goal: No More Credit Card Debt. She wants to pay it all off by August.
- My Wishlist by American Express 2007 article is included.
- The Digerati Life has a guide to cool piggy banks. Our son has a noisy pig that spits the money back out and shimmies. It’s very entertaining!
- Free Money Finance details the 10 most hated money saving tips. I can relate to some of them including moving to a place with a lower cost of living. We live in a high tax state, but we love it here!
- Featuring my Tax Deduction for Women article.
- Year end tax tips for eBay sellers has some great advice.
- Tick Marks details the lawsuit for tax software producers for charging excessive efiling fees.

Thanks for the mention! I’ll read the books, you read the reviews, and everything will be good.
