Due to the recent credit card debate, I didn’t get a chance to read through all of the carnivals last week. Therefore this week’s edition will be a double edition including the carnivals from this week and last week!
Here’s the carnivals from this week with my article and my favorite article from each:
Carnival of Personal Finance #134
- 25 Reasons to Love Credit Cards
- In Defense of Personal Finance Bloggers @ The Honest Dollar
- 2007 Net Worth Update: +19.7%
- The Job Dilemma - My Wife’s Potential Income @ My Family’s Money
- My Asset Allocation: Total Market Approach
- Cost of owning a car @ The Real Returns
And here’s the carnivals from last week:
Carnival of Personal Finance #133
- How Do I Organize 181 Accounts?
- Going Against the Grain: Maxing out the 401K despite the debt @ Dog Ate My Finances
- Why Am I Unpopular at Christmas?
- How I became financially independent in 5 years - Part I @ Early Retirement Extreme
- Finish Your Christmas Shopping Under Budget
- Spend less than you earn - the wrong way to think @ Brip Blap
- Debt Payoff Strategies Holding You Back
- How to Get Over a Holiday Debt Hangover @ American Consumer News
Finally, there’s a new carnival in town! Check out the first edition of the Carnival of Peer to Peer Lending @ Lazy Man and Money. I didn’t submit an article, but I might in the future, as I just signed up with Prosper to check it out.

FIY: I also finished part 2 (which is up already and linked in from part 1) and even part 3. Unfortunately part 3 got zapped when my computer came crashing down and I haven’t been motivated to rewrite it

Thanks for spreading the word about my new carnival. I really appreciate it. I’d also appreciate (as would the readers, I’m sure) if you submit an article to the carnival.
