The Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express card is the no annual fee version of the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express. The preferred card earns 6% cash back on groceries (up to $6,000 in spend) and has a 100 Rewards Dollars sign up bonus, but has an annual fee. To determine which card is better, look at how much you spend on groceries. If you spend over $2500 per year, the preferred card will be the better option. If you spend less than $2500 per year on groceries, the Everyday card wins.

Comments to American Express 50 Reward Dollars and Amazon Prime Sign Up Bonus

  1. If you are a Costco member, you can get an annual-fee free AMEX card with rebates of 3% on gas, 2% on travel and 1% on everything else (including Costco register purchases). The rebates are paid each August in the form of a chit that Costco will either cash for you or you can use on a register purchase.

    Just a different rebate schedule.

    OC Steve

  2. I have th Blue Cash Preferred Card as well. With the 6% back at grocery stores it’s one of the few cards I’ve encountered I actually consider worth the fee.

  3. Anyone know how this works if you already have a Prime membership? I’ve been eyeing the Preferred card for nearly a month, but I just don’t like the idea of not being eligible for almost have the signup bonus.

  4. I’ve been tempted to sign up for Amazon Prime for a while now. Maybe this offer will push me over the edge. Thanks for the heads up.
