Excellent Book!"I hardly ever take the time to write Amazon reviews, but I enjoyed this book so much that I had to leave a review for this author." - Amazon Reviewer (5 stars)
Great advice"This book is well written and very organized. Great advice on how to sell on amazon. Book flowed well and provided for an easy read. I'm so excited to try it out!" - Amazon Reviewer (5 stars)
Surprisingly detailed"I was impressed by the detail and sharing of "secrets" in this book. Anyone thinking about selling items on Amazon should consider reading this book. It focuses on where to find items and using Fulfillment by Amazon, but even if your interest is not exactly the same, it is great info from someone who sells on Amazon. I am a manufacturer of products and sell my own items, which is not covered in this book, but there is a lot of good info. It will help anyone who wants to sell on Amazon." - Amazon Reviewer (5 stars)

I found this book an interesting read. Not so sure about following the program but it gives insight into some of Amazon's programs for sellers. While it is basic and omits a lot that someone really wanting to follow the program would need to know anyone interested in Amazon and its programs for sellers may find this useful as a starting point. It is a one hour read and worth the time in my view if only for its discussion of Amazon's fulfillment program. Some things it omits are the record keeping needed for tax purposes. That could be a nightmare if someone really got into trying this! Also the program outlined would likely only work in a larger city. And while the returns for credit at stores may work for a while am not sure some stores might not keep track of returns and ultimately stop a buyer doing that. Know Walmart limits returns without receipts within a quarter but not sure if they keep track more generally. All of this said, I can see for someone out of work or in retirement who still has good credit this could be interesting thing to consider if only on a limited basis. Unfortunately today engaging in an small business venture is fraught with difficulties, from regulations to taxes to all sorts of legal complications. The Amazon fulfillment program potentially takes away many of these problems. As someone not previously familiar with this program the book was both interesting and worthwhile.

This book is a must read for experienced sellers considering selling by Fulfillment by Amazon but it is not recommended for the new online seller with limited funds.

I have rated this book a 4 star because that the author is suggesting that you make your retail purchases by credit card which I would strongly advise against. The fact that he has not missed one of his monthly payments to his credit card company is not the norm for any 'retail' flipper let alone a beginner. The one thing not to lose site of is that the author still has a full time job as does his original mentor that helped him start his business. If you do not have the cash to start buying I would seek another source to start my business with and consider this one for a later date.

The book has great detailed information on where to buy products and how to use the Fulfillment By Amazon commonly called FBA. The fees for using FBA are discussed broadly but not in totality so it gives the appearance that the fees are very low. They can be low in comparison to single storage facilities but my experience has been that the average for most low to mid range retail flippers is around $350-$450 per month and that is only for the FBA and does not include the Amazon fees for each actual sale. That will also vary based on the type of items that you are selling. For example, people tend to think books do not weigh very much and don't take up much room however, when you have in excess of 10,000 of them the weight and room to store them adds up quickly. Take a few (4-5) books that you already have around your house and put them on the bathroom scales - you may be surprised at what they actually weigh.

Selling on Amazon is a wonderful venture and can be very profitable but you need to be fully informed before venturing into this market full time and quitting your day job.

As a veteran e-seller on Amazon and eBay and the author of a comparable Kindle book titled [...Almost Free Money: How to Make Significant Money on Free Items That You Can Find Anywhere, Including Garage Sales, Scrap Metal, and Discarded Items], I ordered this book with trepidation, knowing how difficult it is to find inventory that makes $2700/month.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information in the book, and how easy it was to digest and immediately employ in flipping retail store sales items for quick money. I think that in the right location and with some leg-work, anybody that reads this book can make comparable profits, if they follow the easy step-by-step instructions for finding inventory.

For me, the immediate returns from reading this book were the specific examples of where the author found the inventory to sell, how to price-check items quickly and effectively, and the discussion on using Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) to have inventory packaged and marketed, allowing me to turn over profits faster and more frequently. I fully intend to follow the author's friend's advice and add retail flipping into our portfolio, along with our existing model that includes finding free items (or under $1), and providing informational products to re-sellers and temporarily unemployed entrepeneurs. After all, as it states in this book in regards to retail reselling with the aid of Amazon FBA, "You'd have to be dumb to not do this."

I never really finished the book. It seems to say that if you can find a good deal and buy a huge quantity of that product and have amazon sell it for you, then you can make a ton of money. But if amazon doesn't sell all of the product, then you are stuck trying to return all of the product to the stores that you bought them from. For example: ear buds. If certain ear buds are $9.99 and Target is running a sale on them for $3.99, then go out and buy 100 ear buds from various Target Stores around you. Then have Amazon sell them for $7.99, If they sell out you've made $400. If not you have to go back to all of the Targets and return them.

For me with a full time job and other commitments it was just too much time. Just not for me.

Thanks, Brian I enjoyed reading it - very inspiring - I like the step by step approach describing what Amazon can do for you as a fulfillment center. Very valuable insights on how Amazon works for sellers and buyers.

I've been meaning to buy this book for quite some time now...so I went ahead and did it! I only gave it a 4 star because I lightly perused through it for about 30 minutes or so. I felt that such a mild look-over did not warrant a 5 star review as it would not be an honest assessment of it's contents. In other words I did not read it yet. Material sounds good and very much applicable in the e-commerce world....which is what I am about to embark on.

Easy to follow advice and ideas. Not really practical for me and helped me make the decision that it is not for me. Informative and even though written concerning the US marketplace there is much that could be adopted elsewhere.
